Anyone who is willing to act as Director and is permitted by law to do so may be appointed to be a Director - either by election at the AGM by LymeForward members or by co-option by the existing Directors prior to election at the next AGM.
Directors' Powers and Responsibilities
Subject to the Articles, Directors have a general responsibility for the management of LymeForward.
Their key responsibilities are:
governance and compliance with the Articles and all legal obligations;
financial oversight and reporting
Human Resources, including the recruitment and management of LymeForward staff.

Article 5, the Objects, states that LymeForward should provide the services of a coordinator to:
assist individuals and groups in fulfilling their particular objectives
coordinate and assist with identifying and implementing funding bids.
The Directors also have the power to delegate to the coordinator responsibility for:
day-to-day operation of LymeForward's activities within the framework set by the Steering Group
routine management of LymeForward's administrative and financial arrangements
preparation of reports and agendas for general meetings, for the Steering Group (for which the coordinator acts as secretary), and for the Directors.
NB: The job title was changed from LymeForward Coordinator to LymeForward Manager on the appointment of Chris Tipping in September 2018.
