The popular Lyme Regis Community Lunches were re-launched just before Christmas.
Organised by LymeForward, the lunches will now be held monthly for the over 50s at the Baptist Church Hall, with a two-course meal prepared by local chef Chris Tipping.
The first lunch saw almost 40 guests, including the Mayor of Lyme Regis, Councillor Michaela Ellis, and her husband Alan, tuck into a traditional turkey dinner followed by Christmas pudding.
Festive entertainment was provided afterwards by the Lyme Luggers ukulele group.
LymeForward would like to thank chef Chris Tipping and all volunteers who helped on the day, the Regatta & Carnival Committee, Tesco, Co-operative and the Lyme Luggers.
The next lunch will be held on Wednesday, January 10th at 12.30am with steak and kidney pie (vegetarian option available) and apple crumble and custard on the menu.
Tickets cost £6 and are available at Penny Black Café behind the post office. Please disclose any dietary requirements at the time of booking.
LymeForward is looking for more volunteers to help prepare, serve and tidy up after the meal. Those interested should contact Heather Prior, on 01297 441224 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
