An increased police presence

January 31, 2018

PCSO Amanda King (no. 6090) is the Police Community Support Officer for Lyme Regis and Charmouth and is part of the Neighbourhood Policing Team based in Bridport but with an outreach base used by the Fire, Ambulance and Police services situated behind the Woodmead Hall car park in Lyme Regis.

Amanda is committed to Lyme Regis and patrols both on foot and by police vehicle.

PC Kirsti Frecknall is also part of Lyme Regis Neighbourhood Police Team and works in Lyme Regis on a regular basis although also has commitments in other areas.

With the cut-backs in police funding and consequent reduction in staff resources, Amanda relies heavily on public support and information about concerns regarding public safety, anti-social behaviour and possible criminal activity. The Neighbourhood Policing Team is also encouraging residents to consider setting up Neighbourhood Watch schemes where they do not already exist.

You can contact Amanda King by calling 101 and giving her name and/or number (6090).

Or you can email by using the Dorset Police website: https://www.dorset.police.uk/do-it-online/message-an-officer or https://www.dorset.police.uk/contact-us/email-us.

If you would like to meet Amanda informally, she will be present at coffee mornings at Hallett Court in Queens Walk between 10.00am and 11.00am on Wednesday 7th February and Wednesday 21st February.
