Can you help re-stock the foodbank?

September 2, 2018

In the first 16 weeks since it reopened in mid-May, the Foodbank provided emergency food and other necessities to 14 adults and 20 children referred by professional agencies – a total of 79 'person/weeks' of supplies. So you can see that stocks must be regulalry replenished if it is to continue meeting need.

The Foodbank relies on community generosity, either by donating products or by making a financial donation which enables the Foodbank volunteers to buy supplies that fill gaps in the donated stocks. Such financial support is almost more important because it enables us to buy things that plug gaps (donations of actual products can be somewhat arbitrary!).

You can donate products of the sort shown here by leaving them in the blue collection boxes available at:

Uplyme Post Office and Stores

St Michael & St George Roman Catholic Church

St Michael's Parish Church

Uplyme Parish Church

Lyme Regis Baptist Church

St Michael's Primary School

You can make a financial donation with a cheque payable to LymeForward indicating that it's for the Foodbank, and sent to LymeForward, The Town Mill, Mill Lane, Lyme Regis, DT7 3PU, or by emailing for details required to make a BACS payment.
